Name: Walking City, "Walker"
Location: Moving
Population: ~4000
Main language: English
Economy: Share/trade
Government: Anti-Reckoning Unit
Information:
Walking City is a huge angel-powered megastructure and is more affectionately known as a Walker. It was first discovered by ARU twelve years ago, and ever since then it's population has been increasing. ARU tried to, of course, dispatch the city at first, but the location of it's black box remains a mystery ever to this day and the structure itself doesn't seem to show the usual signs of stress as other angel structures. There's a control room, where its paths can be somehow influenced. ARU controls the control room, as they were here first.
ARU provides most people with rations and a place to sleep for free, which is part of why so many people have decided to make the Walking City their home, as it is quite of a sweet deal. However, the current governing body of ARU doesn't see the need to restrict personal trade, which is why trade culture flourishes. As Walking City is a hotpot of various people from various places with different economies, some people do use different kinds of currency.
Walker can house about 10 000 people, more than enough. It has six spindly legs that despite all odds touch the ground as gently as a feather. It can cross ground and water, stepping on them like solid ground no matter how delicate the ground is.
People generally use a brand of English to communicate as so many different language-speakers exist here, but all languages in our world apply. There's also a dialect of sign language spoken here, humorously called WSL, (Walking Sign Language).
Layout: Walker is an immense structure with elevators, emergency ladders and air conditioning connecting the seven levels. Levels are divided into blocks to make navigation easier. From top to bottom, the levels go as follow:
Sightseeing Level
A structure on the very top of the structure reminds one of a circular sightseeing platform with protective bulletproof glass all around it. There is a a somewhat hidden ladder to get to the very top, though going there is not recommended.
Command Level
Command level refers to the blocks that house most of ARU and has their command center.
Housing Level
Housing level holds a large cantine. Unlike Command level with a large amount of functioning plumbing, the rooms are less functional here.
Storage Level
Identical to housing level, the function of the level has been destinated as storage. Private rooms are mostly locked and private, and full of peoples belongings. Some ARU equipment is stores here.
Scrap Level
For unknown reasons, the Scrap Level remains unfinished in the belly of the Walker. Some people report strange sounds and sights coming from there, though nothing has been confirmed.
Machinery Level
The so-called machinery level houses giant structures that hold up the legs and the rest of the structures of the beast.
Entry Level
This level houses most of the equipment that needs to be quickly dispatched in emergencies and has some vehicles and the like. There are multiple lowering ramps.
